To accompany the lantern slides show, contemporary Vancouver-based photographer Carol Sawyer will be exhibiting an installation of photographs and other documents detailing the work of historical performance artist Natalie Brettshneider, including records of work she undertook in the Okanagan in the late 1930s. As well, images of the artist captured on lantern slides showing evidence of her 1913 cross-Canada railway voyage will be included, forming a direct link to the Magic Lanterns exhibition.
