Art Gallery Annual Seeing Red & White Fundraiser Saturday November 3,
2007
For
the 5th consecutive year, Seeing
Red and White was extremely successful, selling out to just over
100 guests. This year over $40,000 was raised in support of innovative
exhibitions and public programming. This is an increase of about $15,000
over the 2006 event. Guests were entertained
by the distinctive sultry music of Olga Osipova,
and enjoyed a gourmet meal prepared by Chef Derek Thompson of Divine
Proportions, outstanding red and white wine donated by Cedar Creek Estate
Winery, Quails Gate Estate Winery, Mission Hill Estate Winery, Summerhill
Pyramid Winery, and delicious beer donated by Tree Brewing.

| Local
artists were on site, creating paintings that were then auctioned off
later in the evening. This year’s event was sponsored by Norelco
Cabinets Ltd, and once again we had tremendous support from many other
local artists and businesses who donated items to our silent auction.
Thank you to our fabulous committee members: Leona
Baxter, Birgit Bennett, Karen Clark-Marlow, Penny Hechter, Dona Moore,
Joanne Onrait, Shauna Oddleifson, Donna Rubadeau, and Ruth Stewart for all
their help creating such a great event. Special thanks to all
of the volunteers and staff that helped out throughout the evening.
